Dol Ikara dwells where darkness and beauty blur as one. A persona created by singer-songwriter Claire Roddy, her shimmering vocals steep over a range of sounds, from pitch-dark drones to hypnotic guitars to rupturing drums. Lyrics may appeal to tragedy and bliss within the same breath, inspired by flora, fauna, forgotten myths, the divine feminine, and ancient gothic symbols.

Previous music has been featured on Peaky Blinders and Nat Geo’s Queens. Her upcoming full-length debut album, Ophidia (a biological group consisting of snakes), symbolizes a vulnerable shedding of skin into a stronger, renewed phase. Influences include PJ Harvey, Mazzy Star, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Björk, Sigur Rós, Broadcast, Cocteau Twins, Stevie Nicks, and Kate Bush.
